Buffs win! The fist win of the Jon Embree era comes at the hands of lowly CSU. Couldn't have been better. Buffs opened up slow but then got their act together to control the game and cruise to a 28-14 win.

The Colorado Buffaloes wrap up non-conference play this weekend traveling to Columbus to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes (2-1, 0-0 Big 10).

Kick off is at 12:30 PM at Ohio Stadium. The game is televised nationally on ABC if you are in the Colorado and Ohio regions. If you are anywhere else the game will be shown on ESPN2.

Colorado returns to the horseshoe for the first time in 25 years. Personally for me this weekend is a big let down as I truly wanted to go to this game. I've planned on it for a long time but unfortunatley I am unable to do so.  I am bummed. But I shall be watching.

This is a battle between two of the schools who have squared off against the most ranked teams dating back to 1989: Ohio State has faced 109, fourth-most, with CU right behind with 107.

While CU is coming off a win the Buckeyes are coming off of a loss. Ohio State lost at Miami-Florida, 24-6. The defeat costing the Buckeye’s the nation’s longest streak of consecutive weeks ranked at 103 as OSU dropped out of the Top 25. (Wha-wah).

This will be CU’s fourth game in the state of Ohio; CU won in Columbus in 1971, lost there in 1986 and lost to Toledo two years ago 54-38 in a Friday night affair. CU's last trip to a Big 10 school came in 1997 at
Michigan (a 27-3 loss). I was at that game. (Shout-out to Terrence). CU's last game against a Big 10 team was Wisconsin in the 2002 Alamo Bowl (a 31-28 overtime loss. A disgusting game that we should have won).
